THE PROCESS

What is Microblading

Permanent make-up for eyebrows helps to add definition and symmetry to the brow area. It i s  a form of cosmetic tattooing. Pigment is inserted into the dermal layer of the skin using a specialist handheld tool to recreate the look of individual hairs within the eyebrow area. The needle end of the handheld tool is extremely fine to mimic the  size of a human hair.

The Perfect Brow

At your consultation, we will discuss what you envisage for your brows. Then we will apply the rules of "Golden Ratio".  This is a set of rules based on facial symmetry and proportions to recreate the ideals of beauty. It was conceived by the ancient Greeks and is backed by modern science. By mapping your brows we apply these rules to your newly designed eyebrows

.

The Process

A patch test is required prior to the process to ensure that you are not allergic to the pigments. Following this, the treatment is a two part procedure. The first appointment will entail numbing the brow area and mapping the brows. Once you are happy with the design, the microblading will commence. The first appointment generally takes approx. 2-2.5hrs. For the initial 24-48hrs the pigment will appear darker and then fade over the following 7 days. After this your body will start to heal, a  process that can take 4  weeks. A follow up  appointment is required 4-6 weeks later to assess how your body has accepted the pigment and to top up the pigment in required areas and sharpen up strokes. The end results normally last approx. 18-24 months.
