HEALING PROCESS

  • The colour of newly Microbladed brows will appear significantly darker for the first 1-4 days  and will fade gradually over the following 7 days. They will also feel swollen and sore from the blade incisions. It is important to avoid touching the brow area to prevent infections and aid the healing process. Aim to keep the forehead area dry.
  • During the recuperating period (approx. 5-10 days after your appointment) skin will start to form scabs and flake. The skin may feel itchy but avoid scratching as it may remove the pigment from of the skin.
  • In approx. 8-11 days skin will appear more normal but the pigment will appear light in colour and may have almost disappeared. Rest assured the strokes are there but have receded beneath layers of healing skin cells.
  • From this point until the top up appointment (at 4-6 weeks time), the pigment will start to appear stronger and more vivid.
  • The top up appointment is essential to remedy any of the imperfections caused by the healing process such as patchiness, uneven brows or the requirements for additional strokes.
  • The healing process after the top up appointment is usually much quicker as the body has prior experience to the pigment and normally accepts it much more easily after the first treatment. Healing is always dependent on your age, skin type and lifestyle please bear this in mind.
  • From this point onwards the brows are finished and you are free to enjoy your brows pencil free for the next 18-24 months!
  • After this time, it is recommended to regularly touch-up your Microblading to prolong them.

AFTERCARE
